MickyFin over at NokiaUsers.net posted a great photo comparison post between some of the latest Nokia devices.
He decided to test out the new E72 with it’s bog standard 5MP unit, the N900, N97 Mini and N95 Classic with the Carl Zeiss lens, and then the 5800 with it’s 3.2MP Carl Zeiss lens system.
What struck me when checking out the different photo’s was that the images which have come off the N97 Mini have a rather awful blue coloured haze to them, which is particularly apparent in the test photo’s where the LED flash has been used.
The actual quality and clarity of the N97 Mini has performed pretty much exactly as expected, but this colouration issue is alarming.
The venerable Nokia E71 has always suffered from a similar problem, and many hoped it would have been fixed in future firmware updates, but as far as I know, it has not. I am willing to stand corrected on that issue though.
I wonder of the N97 Mini will get sorted in the future.
The E72 also takes a very good photo, despite it’s lack of Carl Zeiss optics. I wonder how much real world difference the fancy labelled lens actually makes.

The camera's in my N87 mini work OK after a fresh restart of the phone. The main one makes perfect pictures; however, after some time – when I perhaps have been using other applications, or connected to the desktop – the camera fails (both front and back). Only the screen opens but I see only a black background. It looks like the lenses remain closed.
Any hint to solve this is welcome. To switch of my phone and start again to be able to take a picture, is not what I want!

Have you tried taking a full backup of your phone, and all data, then try a hard reset?

I've the same problem I've tried everything!No solution so far.I've try hard reset, new firmware, change the production code … nothing nothing works.It drive's me MMAD.Please give any ideas how to fix this.My camera is not working any more and whend the camera stops the whole video codec simes not to working.I can't watch videos on the device

When I take pictures even in avg lighting with n97 mini phone, there is a green tint to everything, it's annoying and i dont know if this is software related or what it is, but it's flat out unacceptable, my old motorola got colors more correct than this thing.
